Description of Project
Centralised and local control for each of the 19 suites, meeting
rooms, public areas & exterior lighting, seamlessly integrated
with the hotel’s central BMS system and third-party Audio Visual
equipment.
Technical Details
Control of over 270 channels of lighting. RS232 gateway interfaces
throughout the hotel. LDMS software incorporating Site map and
Scheduler by which any part of the system can be programmed
or re-configured from one central location.
Design Features
A central touchscreen located in the hotel’s reception, shows
maps of the hotel, from which staff can select any pre-programmed
scene in any room by touching a related area of the screen.
A multi-level password protection function prevents unauthorised
use.
A central BMS which includes the hotel’s reservation system
integrates with Polaron’s lighting control system to automatically
trigger a pre-set ‘welcome’ lighting scene when suites are shown
as booked in the system. This in turn switches on the heating
or air-conditioning.
Televisions in the suites are also integrated with the system
and controlled via Polaron’s control plates. Mirrored stainless
steel and antique bronze control plates were made to special
order.
Scheduler is incorporated to enable pre-programmed scenes to
be triggered at pre-determined times of day.
