Lightlink Pre-wire Kit - LPK

Installation of intelligent lighting control into a new or refurbished property development will undoubtedly help the sale of the property but not everyone is prepared to pay for the extra security, convenience and style that intelligent lighting control can offer.

If the new property is wired for conventional switched lighting, it is difficult to add intelligent lighting control at a later date without re-wiring. So how can a developer cover all bases and offer the benefits of intelligent lighting control without the initial cost?

The Polaron Lightlink Pre-wire Kit (LPK) is the answer. With the LPK it is possible to offer both options for minimal additional cost. At first-fix, simply install the LPK and run dual wiring to the wall switches or rotary dimmers – both conventional wiring plus low cost data cable for Lightlink intelligent lighting control.

If the property is sold prior to completion with the added value of Lightlink intelligent lighting control, simply connect the data cable to the control plates, fit the processor and dimmer modules into the LPKs and the lighting is ready to be configured to the purchaser’s requirements.

If the property is complete, the property can be shown using the conventional switched lighting but if a purchaser wants to up-grade to Lightlink intelligent lighting control the infrastructure is in place for simple conversion prior to hand over. Simply replace the conventional switches with control plates, connect the data cables, fit the processor and dimmer modules in the LPKs and the lighting is ready to be configured to the purchaser’s requirements.

If the property is sold with conventional switched lighting, it will be easier to sell as the purchaser has the benefit of being able to convert at a later date without re-wiring – future proofing their investment.

Not all circuits need to be converted either. The structured design of the LPK allows mixed conversion leaving some circuits with conventional switches.
