Description of Project

The Four Seasons Hotel at Canary Riverside is one of London’s foremost hotels. This exclusive and prestigious venue is frequented by celebrities from all corners of the world, who expect and receive a top quality production infrastructure.

Polaron were invited by the client to provide full design and implementation of Audio Visual and communications for the building. At all times, the primary design emphasis was based upon quality, reliability and service. This being in line with Four Seasons’ design philosophy.

Systems supplied included: combined audio and video racks, driving ultra high quality ceiling loudspeaker systems and projectors; system-wide background music; LCD projector and electric screens; text paging system interfaced with telephone switchboard; fire alarm interfaces; and remote volume and source selection in all function and conference rooms.

Technical Details

Electrically retractable projection screens fit into the ceiling with trap-door closure. Silent ceiling mounted lifts drop LCD projectors from the ceiling when required.

Wall mounted facility panels provide access to the AV System for Component video, audio and data. The facility panel video data inputs allow a PC to be connected anywhere in the ballroom with automatic routing to the projectors, without patching.

Room division control is via a simple, single switch, allowing set-up to be achieved in seconds. Pre-function and ballroom areas designed on a flexible AV pattern to maximise flexibility.

Design Features

Fully mobile equipment racks with facility connectors maximise AV facility on demand. All equipment controlled via a diskless computer system with wireless remote control of all functions. Extensive use of automatic routing and switching to ease staff set-up.
