Multi-room audio is another key component of the Intelligent Home
allowing you to create perfect audio at the touch of a button. Not
just in one room, but throughout the entire home, which you can
control as easily as switching on a light. By providing zoned areas
with different listening requirements and music sources, the user
is able to control all areas and sources as a pre-programmed sequence
or ad-hoc control from an armchair or anywhere in the home.
Generally, the main living room is designated as the "Main"
room for multi-room audio and visual systems within the house. This
means that the majority of audio and visual sources (CD player,
Tuner, Turntable, DVD Player etc.) are located in this room and
then distributed over the system cabling to the other rooms within
the home.
Discrete Installation
One of the main benefits of the system is its simple and discrete
installation. All system components such as line receivers and room
amplifiers can be hidden in a system rack inside a cupboard. Rooms
can be fitted with high performance ceiling speakers, particularly
in bathrooms, corridors and Kitchens, where they will be unobtrusive.
